A freestyle workshop, encouraging the therapeutic use of the body in dance, covering many different dance styles, and using a range of different music pieces. The tutor will be Cherry Godiva, who has trained in a large variety of dance styles, over several decades, including but not limited to Ballet, tap, Belly dancing, BharataNatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Flamenco, Latin (couples) dances and Country dancing, and has teaching experience going back many years. She is an understanding and inclusive teacher.
This workshop is as much about body movement as dance and participants will be encouraged to express themselves through dance. The focus of the dance styles used will be partly dependant on the preferences of the participants. This will be a small workshop with a maximum of 10 participants. Participants will need to be somewhat mobile but do not have to have a high fitness ability. The passion for dance is more important. Please contact Cherry if you have any concerns.
